Promising actor Ashok Selvan has been a part of popular and successful movies like Soodhu Kavvum, Pizza 2, Thegidi to name a few, and was last seen playing the lead in the coming of age flick Kootathil Oruthan which met with lukewarm response at the Box office.

Currently a part of numerous projects, Ashok Selvan has now bagged a biggie, in Malayalam. The actor has been roped in to play a key role in director Priyadarshan's Marakkar Arabikadalinte Simham starring Mohanlal in the lead role, and the movie also stars Action King Arjun, Keerthy Suresh, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Prabhu, Suniel Shetty and many others.

Ashok Selvan has already started shooting for the magnum opus in Hyderabad, and has been learning Malayalam. Set in the 17th century, the movie will be Ashok Selvan's second collaboration with Priyadarshan after the critically acclaimed Sila Samayangalil, that premiered on Netflix last year.
