Asia champion tests positive for banned substance

Shot-putter Manpreet Kaur, who won gold at the Asian Athletics Championships in Bhubaneswar earlier this month, is in an embarrassing the situation. In a test conducted by the National Anti-Doping Officials, she tested positive for a banned stimulant: dimethylbutylamine.
If the Asian champion's confirmatory urine sample B' also tests positive for the banned substance, India might have to return the gold medal. The test was conducted during the Federation Cup National Championships held in Patiala earlier this month.
