The 13th Asianet Film Awards has been announced and the winners list is as expected by film buffs. The winners of this popular award this year are:

Best Film - 'Pranchiyettan and the Saint' directed by Ranjith
Best Director - Lal for In Ghost House Inn
Best Actor - Mammootty for Kutty Shranku, Pranchiyettan and the Saint and Best Actor.
Best Actress - Nayantara for Bodyguard
Best Debut Actor - Ann Augustine
Popular Malayalam Actor Award - Dileep
Popular Malayalam Actress - Mamta Mohandas
Popular Tamil Actor - Vijay
Best Supporting Actor - Nedumudi Venu
Best Supporting Actress - Lakshmipriya
Best Character Actor - Innocent
Best Comedy Actor - Suraj Venjaramood
Best Villain - Asif Ali
Special Award – Sreenivasan for 'Aatmakatha'
Best Screenplay Writer - Sathyan Anthikkad
Best Cinematographer - Venu
Best Music Director - MG Sreekumar for ‘Oru Naal Varum’
Best Playback Singer (Male) – Hariharan
Best Playback Singer (Female) – Shreya Ghoshal
Youth Icon of the Year – Jayasurya

Mohanlal will be presented with the 'Golden Star Award’ for his huge contribution to Malayalam cinema

There are total 28 categories in this prestigious award and the awards will be presented on January 9 at a gala event Kochi.

Gaganam release on Feb 4

Nagarjuna starer bilingual movie 'Gaganam' will release on February 4th.The movie stars Poonam Kaur and Prakash Raj also in the lead and is being directed by Tamil director Radha Mohan. Though Gaganam was supposed to release earlier, it got delayed due to technical problems. Since 'Ragada' was also up for release, Nagarjuna had asked 'Gaganam' team to release it in February.
