Assaulters strip dancer near Begumpet pub, beat her up

A woman has complained to the Panjagutta police that she was assaulted and stripped forcibly by five individuals near Lesban pub in Begumpet.
The woman, whose name can't be identified for reasons of privacy, has been a dancer at the night club. A wannabe actress, she says that she took to dancing to make her ends meet. For many days, a few men have been
after her, making sexual overtures. On Friday night, someone came to her with an offer to pay her Rs 10,000 if she spends the night with a customer. She refused.
Moments later, she was dragged by four women and a man on to the road and stripped forcibly. She was beaten up. The assaulters told her that they are politically connected.
For many days, some men have been calling me up on my number and talking in offensive language. They claim to be well-networked. I have always stayed away from unsocial activities, the victim said.
