Assembly elections: Karnataka CM allocates Rs.2500 Cr for Bangalore alone!

Karnataka chief-minister Siddaramaiah has allocated a whopping Rs.2500 crores for the developmental projects to be initiated in Bangalore when he presented the State’s fiscal budget for the year 2018-19.

Assembly elections are round the corner in Karnataka and the Congress-led Govt. of Siddaramaiah has allocated huge funds for Bangalore keeping in view the 28 Assembly seats in Bangalore District. Following are some of the projects for which funds had been allocated:

•    All arterial and sub-arterial roads in Bangalore to be white-topped for a period of 5 years; 150 kms would be completed by 2018-19;
•    40 lakes in and around the city to be developed fully by 2018-19;
•    110 villages in BBMP scheme to be developed;
•    250 KMs of footpath to be re-laid;
•    Multi-store valet parking facility is to come up in Koramangala, Jayanagar and Gandhi Bazaar; and
•    Rs.2500 crores allotted for overall development of Bangalore.
