Actor Dhanush recently had a release with Asuran, directed by his Pollathavan, Aadukalam and Vada Chennai director Vetrimaran, and the movie produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu in his V Creations is running successfully, with good reviews and strong collections.

Released on October 4, Asuran is based on the novel Vekkai by renowned author Poomani, and also stars Malayalam actress Manju Warrier who made her debut in Tamil, Ken Karunaas, Teejay, Ammu Abhirami, Pasupathy, Prakashraj, Balaji Sakthivel and had music by GV Prakash.

Following many celebrities praising Asuran, now Tollywood Superstar Mahesh Babu has also watched the movie and praised it, as he tweeted "Asuran...raw real and intense...
