Atharvaa Murali, one of the highly skilled Tamil actors, is all set to make his OTT debut with the new Hotstar Original series called 'Mathagam'. Jai Bhim fame Manikandan is playing the parallel lead in this thriller show. This series will stream on Disney Plus Hotstar very soon.

Mathagam is directed by Prasath Murugesan, best known for his rural thriller film 'Kidaari' and the biopic series 'Queen'. The makers launched the first look poster and teaser of the series today. The 74-second teaser shows Atharvaa as Ashwath Rathnakumar, a cop and Manikandan as a killer with a powerful voice over by veteran actress Radhika Sarathkumar.

Apart from Atharvaa & Manikandan, Mathagam will also feature a host of other actors including Nikhila Vimal, Gautham Menon, Dilnaz Irani, Ilavarasu, DD (Dhivyadarshini), Vadivukarasi, Aruvi Thirunavukkarasu, Munnar Ramesh, Sarath Ravi, Rishikanth and Murali Abbas. The show's production handled by Screen Scene Media Entertainment.

The arresting visuals and background score in the teaser give vibes to a promising crime thriller. The music is composed by Darbuka Siva with DOP by Edwin Sakay, editing by Praveen Antony, stunts by Dhilip Subbarayan and art direction by Suresh Kallery.

Talking about the series, director Prasath Murugesan says, "Mathagam showcases a gripping sequence of thrilling developments that take place over a period of 30 hours. As a director, I found it challenging, the task of showcasing a planned seige happening one night and the efforts that are taken to defeat it. I hope this will be a very enjoyable experience for the audience."
