Avengers: Doomsday Cast Revealed but Spider-Man and Hulk Missing

Marvel Studios has officially announced the cast of the upcoming movie Avengers: Doomsday, set to release in 2026. After the massive success of Avengers: Endgame, the studio has been working on rebuilding the Avengers team. While some of Marvel’s recent projects saw both success and criticism, fans are now eagerly awaiting upcoming releases like Fantastic Four and Avengers: Doomsday.
Surprisingly, actor Robert Downey Jr., famously known for playing Iron Man, returns to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), but this time as the villain Dr. Doom.
The announced cast includes a mix of returning and new faces:
- Chris Hemsworth – Thor
- Anthony Mackie – Captain America
- Sebastian Stan – Bucky Barnes / Winter Soldier
- Paul Rudd – Ant-Man
- Simu Liu – Shang-Chi
- Pedro Pascal – Mr. Fantastic
- Vanessa Kirby – Invisible Woman
- Joseph Quinn – Human Torch
- Letitia Wright – Ironheart
- Wyatt Russell – US Agent
- Tom Hiddleston – Loki
- Ebon Moss – The Thing
- Florence Pugh – Black Widow
- Kelsey Grammer – Beast
- Patrick Stewart – Professor X
- Ian McKellen – Magneto
- Robert Downey Jr. – Doctor Doom
Notably missing from the cast are Tom Holland (Spider-Man), Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange), and Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), which has left fans slightly disappointed. However, Marvel is known for surprising fans with unannounced appearances. The film is currently in early production and is scheduled to release on May 1, 2026.
