Brilliant actor Ayushmann Khurrana is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming political thriller 'Anek'. The trailer of the same was released a while back and it featured Ayushmann in an entirely new avatar. Revolving around the insurgency and separatist moments in North Eastern part of our country, 'Anek' will see Ayushmann Khurrana in the shoes of a tough and smart undercover cop.

During a recent conversation with ANI, Ayushmann opened about his character and shared how it is different from anything that he has done in past. The actor stated, "This is the first time the audience will see me in this avatar. I have played a cop before but this is the first time they will see me going undercover. Joshua in 'Anek' is street smart and intelligent. He knows his way around people and can fight bad guys not only in a physical capacity but also with his great intellect."

Directed by Anubhav Sinha, 'Anek' is set to release theatrically on 27th of May 2022.
