'Baahubali-2' is hardly 170 mins

If you thought 'Baahubali-2' is going to be a lengthy movie, read on. For a film of its scale and depth, its run-time is actually less than that of a 'Srimanthudu' or a 'Janatha Garage'.
To put it in perspective, although the Censor certificate puts the run-time at 170 minutes, the effective run-time is only 161 minutes. "We wanted to thank everyone who has toiled for the movie. In the process, the end credits have consumed something like 5.5 minutes. And the Thank You credits in the beginning have consumed 1.5 minutes. If you subtract this, the actual run-time is 2:41 minutes only," Rajamouli says.
It's not uncommon that most of the blockbusters have this length. If anything, a film with as many as six powerful characters could have had a run-time of more than 3 hours. But Rajamouli being what he is, he believes in saving screen time.
