Bala sends legal notice to Vikram!

The Tamil remake of 2017 Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy was made as Varmaa, directed by Bala and starring Chiyaan Vikram's son Dhruv Vikram, Megha Chowdhury and Raiza Wilson, but as the film was completed and was nearing release, the version was scrapped as the producer was not satisfied with the output.

Following this, Bala had said he had quit the project to protect his creative freedom, and then the movie was restarted from scratch with debutant Gireesaaya roped in to direct the new version and with Dhruv alone retained, the cast was changed with Banita Sandhu and Priya Anand joining the team, and the movie was recently completed.

Just as the team is planning to decide on the release of this version Adithya Varma, it has been learnt that director Bala has sent a legal notice to Chiyaan Vikram demanding that the team should not be using even once sequence from what was shot by him for Varmaa. Adithya Varma has music by Radhan and cinematography by Ravi K Chandran, and produced by E4 Entertainment plans a July release.
