Music director Bala Baskar passes away

Popular violinist Bala Baskar on September 25th was involved in a road accident in which his two year old daughter Tejaswi died on the spot and his wife Laksmi and driver Arjun along with him suffered severe injuries. Bala Baskar who had been in intensive care in a private hospital in Trivandrum since then and had a couple of surgeries had a massive heart attack at 1am this morning and passed away.

Bala Baskar's wife Lakshmi is still said to be fighting for her life and the driver Arjun who caused the accident having dozed off also remains critical. The Malayalam industry celebrities are pouring their tributes to the 40 year old musician whose last rites will be held later today in Trivandrum.
