Is this hero replacing Suriya in Bala's 'Vanangaan'?

Suriya and Bala reunited after a long gap for the new movie 'Vanangaan' produced by the former which went on floors a few months back. After more than 40 days of shooting in Kanyakumari and the Indian Ocean, the film was stalled due to creative differences that arose between the hero and the director.
While it was speculated for a long time that the project was dropped Bala himself announced officially that Suriya has walked out amicably. Suriya's 2D Entertainment also made it official that it is withdrawing. Bala however had mentioned in his statement that he is continuing with 'Vanangaan'.
Now according to reports Bala is in talks with Atharvaa to replace Suriya in 'Vanangaan'. The dashing hero earlier collaborated with the award winning director in the critically acclaimed hit film 'Paradesi'. The official confirmation is expected in early 2023 when the film goes on floors.
