Balakrishna's political arangetram has always been a foregone conclusion. It was in March 2009 that it was widely rumoured he would contest from the Hindupuram seat. However, his candidature was delayed, either because he wanted it or otherwise.

Recently, he made it clear that he will contest in the 2014 polls for sure. It was the first time ever he made his intent to join the political race clear. Ever since, his straddling the boats of politics and film in near future has become clear.

It has been reported in the media since yesterday that the TDP high command has decided to give him the Hindupuram ticket. His brother, Hari Krishna, too will be in active politics.

Besides, Murali Mohan, another industry biggie and veteran actor, will be in the poll fray, contesting on a TDP ticket.
