Nandamuri Balakrishna has reportedly undergone a major shoulder surgery on Saturday. He had had a torn rotator cuff since the time she shot for 'Gautamiputra Satakarni'. A surgery was recommended to him in 2016 itself, but since he got busy with 'Paisaa Vasool' and 'Jai Simha', the Hindupur MLA couldn't get it done. However, with pain persisting and time permitting now, Balayya submitted himself to the surgery.

Performed at Continental Hospital in Hyderabad, it was done by two expert Orthopaedic surgeons - Dr. Deepthi Nandan Reddy and Dr.Babulkar.

The actor is now recuperating. He will start shooting for the biopic of his father from August. It's not clear if he will do any film in the meantime.
