BCCI denies announcing Ravi Shastri as new Team India coach

As reported earlier by us Saurav Ganguly, one of the three members of the Cricket Advisory Committee that includes Sachin Tendulkar and V.V.S Lakshman stated yesterday that the announcement of the new Team India Coach has been put on hold pending discussion with Captain Virat Kohli. Also Read : "Have to talk to Kohli before deciding the new Coach" - Sourav Ganguly

Today some sections of the media jumped the gun and carried news stating that Ravi Shastri has been appointed as the Head Coach. However BCCI has denied that they have not made any such announcements and will do it at the appropriate time after all formalities are concluded.
