Thalapathy Vijay's Beast and Yash's KGF: Chapter 2 are all set for the big clash this April. At the trailer launch of KGF: Chapter 2, Yash spoke about his film taking on Beast at the box office and also mentioned that it's not an election for one to lose.

Yash's KGF: Chapter 2 trailer was launched at a grand event on March 27. At the trailer launch, a reporter asked Yash about the clash with Beast. Yash's thoughtful reply won everyone's hearts.

He said, "It's not an election. It is cinema. And it is not KGF 2 vs Beast, but KGF 2 and Beast. It is unfair to make these comparisons. We have made a pan-India film, but he [Vijay] has done so much for the film. He is my senior and I'm sure fans will watch both films. I have huge respect for Vijay sir and I am excited about watching Beast. I am sure fans of Thalapathy Vijay will definitely love KGF: Chapter 2. Let us watch both films and celebrate Indian cinema."

"And look at his legacy - he has been an entertainer for so many years and I have personally been a huge fan of his work all along. The moment one starts to believe that they are bigger than their seniors, that's when their downfall begins. He is what he is today because of the hard work he has put in over the years - and I am sure we will all celebrate his movie and his fans too will love 'K.G.F'. It's time we put these notions of competition away and celebrate cinema in general (sic)," said Yash during the press conference.

'Beast' and 'K.G.F: Chapter 2' were scheduled to release on the same day (April 14th) but the makers of the former have now chosen to release their film a day earlier, on the 13th of April. While Beast is tipped to be a gangster thriller directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, KGF: Chapter 2 is a sequel to director Prashanth Neel's film of the same name.
