'Bhaagamathie' remake is 'Durgamati' in Hindi; Release date locked

'Bhaagamathie', starring Anushka Shetty in the lead, has been remade in Hindi with Bhumi Pednekar stepping into the shoes of the 'Nishabdham' actress. The title of the thriller has been changed from 'Durgavati' to 'Durgamati'.

The film will release on Amazon Prime Video on December 11. Helmed by G Ashok, who wielded the megaphone for the Telugu original, this one has Arshad Warsi, Jisshu Sengupta, Mahie Gill and Karan Kapadia in other roles.

Presented by Akshay Kumar, the film comes with the caption 'The Myth'. Anushka plays an IAS officer in the upcoming direct OTT release.
