Actor – director K Bhagyaraj's forthcoming directorial venture tentatively titled 'Puthiya Varpugal' is almost complete for release early next year.

Starring his son Shanthanoo in the lead role, the movie would be a typical Bhagyaraj –style entertainer. Speaking about the film, Shanthanoo says, 'after 'Sakkarakatti', I was keen to do a movie for my father. It is a film with an excellent screenplay and engrossing storyline.'

'A routine Bhagiyaraj film with more focus on youngsters', he says and adds, 'shooting for the movie was a delight. I worked as assistant director to my father in 'Parijatham' and admired his working style. I learnt a lot being a part of that project. Bhagiyaraj will rock in this film'.

'Though we have titled the movie 'Puthiya Varpugal', it is not the remake of the yesteryear hit which starred my father. My film will be youthful and trendy. Dharan and Sai are compsing music for the film' he says.
