Bharani, who played a trusted friend to Sasikumar in 'Naadodigal', is pinning hopes on his forthcoming film 'Vilai', an action-packed entertainer.

Directed by Kamaraj, the movie features Bharani in the lead. Saravanan, and Banuchander are among the others in the cast. Udhayathara, Reethu, Madhumitha and Fathima play the female lead.

The film produced by SB Film Productions is based on human- trafficking. It revolves around eight characters. D Imman takes care of the music.

Kamaraj, who wielded the megaphone for 'Perusu' shot a stunt scene recently featuring Bharani. He says: For best results, you need your lead actor to really fight. Bharani agreed to the idea and gave his best.

On his part, Bharani says, I was hurt and bleeding. But when I looked at the final output on screen, I knew it was worth the pain. I hope the audience likes that particular scene, and the film of course.
