'Bharat Ane Nenu': That 'Swades' feel

It's because of the message that they drive home that Koratala Siva's films work better than they would otherwise have. The writer-turned-director draws inspiration from the themes of books, novels, etc. He is a sincere follower of the spiritual exponent Sadguru Jaggi Vasudev as well.
The subject of 'Bharat Ane Nenu', it seems, has a ring of 'Swades' about it. In the Bollywood movie, Shah Rukh Khan returns to India and eventually finds his calling. Just as SRK was an NRI in that film, Mahesh is one in 'BAN'.
Mahesh's character visits India from London and the consequences that the visit leads to is what is the story. 'Srimanthudu' too had this feel of 'Swades', although the latter was more realistic, practical and told the story of someone who brings out changes with his talent, not riches. Let's see to what extent Bharat will be the NRI-next-door.
