The war of words between Bharath and Silambarasan, over the publicity of 'Vaanam', is getting intensified every passing day, with both the actors liberally giving quotes to the media, about what happened and what went wrong according to them.

"Pattiyal with Arya was my first multi-starrer. I was given enough publicity in that film. But I was totally boycotted in the promotions of Vaanam and importance was given to one particular actor", said Bharath.

Reacting to this, STR aka Simbu said to a media house, "I don't have any say in promotions since the producer has to make a decision on it. Not many know that I requested Editor Anthony to not cut the scenes featuring other actors, including Bharath. We ended up chopping three scenes featuring me and Santhanam. We faced a lot of problems during Vaanam's release and the only reason it got an opening was because of the star value in the publicity material".

He added: "Though Mankatha is a multi-starrer, it is and it will be publicized as an Ajith film. Likewise, though popular actors like Jiiva and Srikanth are there in Nanban, it will be promoted as a Vijay starrer".
