Big shot film producer accused of rape 

Film industries throughout the world are infamous for the cases of workplace sexual harrassment and Bollywood is no exception. Filmmakers demanding sexual favours from their actors is tragic but, sadly, not uncommon. Recently, Bhushan Kumar of T-series has been accused of rape of a 30 year old woman. Bhushan is one of the biggest filmmakers of India and an FIR has been lodged against him.

No arrest has been made as of now but the investigation is going on. Apparently, the victim was promised a lucrative career in Bollywood and was abused on this pretext.

News outlet ANI reported, "Case registered u/s 376 IPC against Bhushan Kumar, managing director, T-Series, at DN Nagar Police station on allegations of rape with a 30-year-old woman on the pretext of engaging her for a project at the company. Probe underway, no arrests made till now."

Bhushan Kumar faced similar allegations back in 2018 as well when an anonymous Twitter user shared that the filmmaker dropped her from a film when she refused to sleep with him.
