Actress and news anchor Anitha Sampath was the Instagram crush of many youngsters a few years back, she shot to fame after entering Bigg Boss season 4 Tamil. Though the actress was eliminated before the finale, she managed to gain many fans for her cuteness and talent.

Anitha who concentrated more on her youtube channel after coming out of the Bigg Boss house has now bagged an important role in Vimal's yet to be titled village drama. She has signed to play the role of Vimal's sister in this film and the story is expected to revolve around her.

Veteran actor Pandiarajanis expected to play Vimal's father in this film. According to reports, the lead lady is yet to be finalised and the team will commence the shooting anytime soon.

 Anitha has worked as a news anchor with Tamil channels such as Sun TV and News7 Tamil. Anita also made small roles in several Tamil films such as “Gala” (2018), “Kappan” (2019), “2.0” (2018), and "Adithya Varma” (2019). Vimal on the other hand was last seen in the movie 'Kanni Raasi'. He also has an interesting lineup in his kitty which includes, ' Sandakkari', 'Manjal Kudai' and many more.
