Actress Sanam Shetty, known for her appearance on Bigg Boss Tamil, has stirred conversation online with her candid take on the film industry versus digital platforms. Taking to social media, she voiced strong support for YouTube as a more rewarding and respectful space for artists than mainstream cinema.
In her post, Sanam shared that talent alone isn't enough to succeed in the film industry.
"To make it in cinema, you don’t just need luck—you often have to stand up against injustice, work behind the scenes, and face many hurdles. And even then, getting a fair chance from producers or directors is uncertain," she wrote.
She added that YouTube, in contrast, offers creators a level playing field and pays fairly for content:
"YouTube values your talent and pays you right. There’s no need to compromise your self-respect or run after people for roles. If you're struggling in cinema like me or actor Sri, focus on building your own platform instead of waiting for a break."
Sanam’s honest words have sparked mixed reactions online, with many applauding her for highlighting the struggles faced by aspiring actors in the film industry — and encouraging them to take control of their careers through digital platforms.
DEATH OF #DREAMS can surely push even the strongest willed artist into Desperation and eventually Depression!!
