Thalapathy Vijay is currently getting ready for the release of the biggest film in his career Bigil directed by Atlee, with whom this is his third film after Theri and Mersal and this movie is produced by AGS Entertainment. Bigil also stars Lady Superstar Nayanthara and Kathir.

While it was earlier announced that Bigil will be a Diwali release, there were rumours floating that Bigil will release exactly on Diwali day i.e; on October 27 which happens to be a Sunday, while there were other rumours on October 24 release as well. Now the official clarification has come from producer Archana Kalpathi herself.

Archana tweeted "Please do not speculate on the release date and spread rumours. We can announce it only after Censor and please trust us to find the perfect day that will create new records in the box office. Also new poster at 6:00 pm today #Bigil".
