Biopic on Bal Thackeray announced

It's time for one more biopic in India. The story of Bal Thackeray, the legendary Maharashtrian leader, will be seen on the screen on Jan 23, 2019.
The super-talented Nawazudding Siddiqui is playing the late Shiv Sena leader. The actor is superb as Bal in the film's pre-production teaser.
Written by journalist-turned-MP Sanjay Raut, the biopic will be shot in Hindi and Marathi, to be dubbed later in English.
Directed by Abhijit Panse, it will chronicle the rise of Thackeray, who was once a cartoonist. The leader is also controversial and was known for penning controversial editorials in his party's mouthpiece, 'Saamna'.
