Director Pa Ranjith, who was introduced to Kollywood with the movie "Attakathi", had also directed back-to-back movies, Kabali and Kaala, with Rajini. Also, the first movie he had produced, Pariyerum Perumal, went on to become a massive hit.

He is currently working on the direction of his Bollywood flick "Birsa Munda." The movie showcases the history of Birsa Munda, the tribal hero who had fought valiantly against the exploitation rendered during the British colonialism.

Ranjith recently took to Twitter to make an announcement regarding the production of his next movie, the details of which, will be revealed at 6 PM IST today. Whether or not it is going to be a caste-based movie like Pariyerum Perumal is something that we have to wait to find out.
