BJP decimates Congress, others in Hindi heartland

The BJP-led NDA is set to form the government on the back of a sweep. Its vote shares in States like Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and even Uttar Pradesh have surprised political pundits. They are huge vote shares and leads over Congress and other parties.

In the Hindi heartland, out of 226 seats, the BJP is leading in 191 seats in total. Congress is leading in just 11 seats. One can imagine the scale of victory in the era of the Modi wave.

In December last, BJP had won Chattisgarh, Rajasthan and MP. The saffron party has bounced back with a vengeance this time.
