BJP gives ticket to controversial Sadhvi Pragya

Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur needs no introduction. She was in the news for several years after the 2006 Malegaon blasts in Maharashtra. She and Colonel Purohit were framed as the accused during the Congress-led rule in the State and at the Centre. The terror charges against her and Purohit have not stood the test of scrutiny. They have been acquitted of most charges already.
On Wednesday, the Sadhvi said that she is all set to contest on a BJP ticket from Bhopal, against former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Digvijaya Singh. I will win comfortably, the controversial saint said.
It has to be seen what will be the fallout of the decision by the saffron party to not only induct her but also give her MP ticket.
