Goshamahal BJP MLA Raja Singh has made attempts to "communalize" the rape and murder of the 26-year-old vet doctor Priyanka Reddy. The Hyderabadi woman was on Wednesday killed by a few men, one of whom has been identified as Mohammed Pasha.

Taking to Twitter on Friday, the firebrand BJP leader wrote, "Police has released the photo of prime accused in the murder of #PriyankaReddy is 'MOHAMMED' Pasha." He has highlighted the first name of the suspect in a deliberately communal manner.

Speaking to a news channel, Singh said that there will be nation-wide protests if the culprits are not caught and punished immediately. "Immediate action should be taken against those who are found to be guilty. Innocent #PriyankaReddy was charred to death, the same punishment should be given to the people who are responsible for it," he added.
