BJP’s success streak to continue in 2019 Lok Sabha polls: Amit Shah

BJP president Amit Shah has predicted that the BJP’s string of successes in State Assembly polls would continue till next year’s Lok Sabha polls.

BJP has won from Tripura and would be an ally along with the NPP in forming the Govt. in Meghalaya.  Speaking to newsmen about the unprecedented success in Tripura, Amit Shah said that the party’s victory in Assembly polls held in the north-eastern States of Tripura, Meghalaya and Nagaland has proved that the party has attained a ‘completeness’ as a national party.

“However, this period can be termed as a ‘golden phase’ in the BJP’s history only if we manage to win from the States of Kerala, West Bengal and Odisha.  We are working towards this objective.  We will upset the Congress in the upcoming Karnataka Assembly by-poll.  In Tripura, we would include MLAs of our allies in our Cabinet.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in his election campaign that north-eastern States needed to progress more and we would concentrate on this aspect.  People have voted in favour of the Prime Minister’s developmental policies.  Soon after he took over as Prime Minister in 2014, Narendra Modi JI introduced the ‘Act’ East Policy’ which has aided immensely in the development of north-eastern States,” Shah concluded.
