Actor Vijay Sethupathi had joined hands with Madhavan for the first time in the 2017 movie Vikram Vedha directed by Pushkar and Gayatri, and this movie was produced by Y Not studios.

Starring Vijay Sethupathi as a gangster Vedha and Madhavan as a cop Vikram, the movie which also starred Shraddha Srinath, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Kathir turned out to be a blockbuster.

Following the success of Vikram Vedha, a Bollywood remake was announced and Aamir Khan and Saif Ali Khan were supposed to act in it. However the latest buzz is that Hrithik Roshan has replaced Aamir Khan to play Vedha role and Saif Ali Khan will be playing Vikram in this remake which will again be directed by Pushkar and Gayatri.
