BM's postponement: Blame it on US market

  • IndiaGlitz, [Saturday,January 07 2012]

BM's unexpected postponement by two days has got a commercial reason behind it. Blame it on the American market! Yes, since the movie is getting released in over 100 theatres (you read it right, one hundred!), RR Movie Makers thought it would be wise to release it on a Friday, and not on a Wednesday.

The makers have every reason to make decisions keeping in mind the US market. To be sure, Mahesh's previous film, Dookudu, mopped up not less than $1 million USD in the first three days of its release. Overseas market has become one of the major sources of revenue for big-ticket Telugu movies of late.

Arrangements have been made to release the bhai-oriented movie in 1600 theatres across the world. As Puri claims, this makes TBM the biggest release in the history of Telugu cinema.
