Bodyguard
With Bodyguard (Hindi) sizing up the script of the original (a Malayalam movie), it remains to be seen what Malineni Gopichand's version has got in store for us. Venkatesh has assured that they have made suitable changes to the original script to suit to Telugu sensitivities.
It appears to be a closely-guarded remake, to say the least. The film would not cut much ice if it fails to bring in new nuances. Most of them know the story. So they would seek novelty here.
There are expectations from Venky, who could add zing to the story. Trisha's abilities are well-known.
The movie is about how the daughter of a rich businessman falls in love with her bodyguard. Though not a much critically acclaimed film, the original boasts of some action and comedy.
It is these elements that seem to have inspired Venky to adapt in Telugu.
