Bollywood actress to play Sita in Prabhas Adipurush

There has been a lot of speculation around who will play Sita in 'Adipurush', the Prabhas-starrer. Based on the Ramayana, the epic 3D action film will be shot from January next year.

Director Om Raut is rumoured to have finalized Kriti Sanon for the coveted and challenging role. The '1: Nenokkadine' actress, the director feels, would be apt for the role of the revered Goddess.

Bollywood actress to play Sita in Prabhas Adipurush

An official word is yet to be out. Earlier, sections of media speculated that Anushka Sharma or Kiara Advani will play the role. Kriti is the latest name doing the rounds.

The makers recently announced the film's release date. The multi-billion magnum opus will hit the screens on 11 August 2022.
