Ranveer Singh goes historical again!

Bollywood sensational hero Ranveer Singh is on a success streak as the actor scored two back to back 300 crores grosser blockbuster movies with established makers like Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Rohit Shetty, with contrasting characters in Padmavat and Simmba.

Now even as the actor is celebrating the acclaim that his next release Gully Boy has been receiving in International film festivals, his character in his next biggie has been revealed. Ranveer will be seen playing Dara Shukoh, the son of Mughal King Shahjahan, in Karan Johar's next directorial venture Takht.

This will be the actor's third historical role after playing Peshwa Bajirao and Alaudin Khilji in Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorials Bajirao Mastani and Padmavat, and Takht also stars Vicky Kaushal as Aurangzeb besides an ensemble cast including Alia Bhatt, Anil Kapoor and Jahnvi Kapoor.
