A bomb threat to Suriya's old office caused a sensation in the Alwarpet region as police personnel rushed to the spot with sniffer dogs in action. It was later not only found to be a hoax but also the culprit did not even know that the much-loved star had vacated the building long back and shifted to a new office.

Suriya has been quite vocal against the central and state government policies especially on the educational side. It is still unknown if the person who was behind the bomb threat was politically motivated or mentally challenged.

Suriya's next movie 'Soorarai Pottru' is all set to release on Amazon Prime Video on October 30th while he is also gearing up to star in a new movie produced by Sun Pictures and directed by Pandiraj.
