Both Vadivelu and Santhanam to act with Rajini

Last week it was reported that Santhanam is being approached to play a role in Superstar RajinikanthÂs ÂLingaa that is being directed by K.S.Ravikumar. While that news is yet to be confirmed buzz on another ace comedian joining the filmÂs cast has started surfacing.
Unconfirmed sources state that team is in talks with ÂVaigaipuyal Vadivelu to act in the film. Since the script written by Ponkumaran is set in the contemporary generation as well as the 1940Âs period it demands two comedians. The source also added that it was Rajini, who suggested the name of Vadivelu for the character. However there is no official confirmation about the idea to cast Vadivelu in the film.
VadiveluÂs comeback film ÂThenaliraman that released a few weeks back has garnered mixed reviews and decent collections at the box office. Vadivelu has acted with Rajini in many films and the last one was ÂKuselan that released in 2008.
ÂLingaa stars Superstar Rajinikanth in dual roles. Sonakshi Sinha and Anushka have been roped in to play the heroines. Jagapathy Babu has been roped in to play an important role and talks are on with Sudheep of ÂNaan Ee fame to play the lead villain role
The shooting of the film started on May 2 in Mysore and it is progressing in that city.
