Director Shankar's 2003 movie 'Boys' which had awesome music by Isaipuyal A.R. Rahman became a launchpad for several entertainers associated with it. Actors Siddharth, Bharath, and Nakkhul have enjoyed great success as leading men and the heroine Genelia D'Souza went on to become one of the most adorable leading ladies in South cinema.

S.S. Thaman who played one of the key characters chose to pursue music and is now one of the most sought-after composers in Telugu cinema. One actor who missed all the name and fame is Manikandan who not only played one of the 'Boys' but featured in the most emotional sequences in the film.

Fans have been wondering what happened to Manikandan since he did not even get one noteworthy film after such a big break with 'Boys'. The Indiaglitz channel got the man himself for an exclusive interview in which he has shared why he failed as an actor and how he missed some of the most memorable films that could have made the difference.

The Manikandan interview is racing towards the 1million views on YouTube and most of the close to 2000 users who commented have been wowed by him as a personality and he is getting tremendous support. The actor has stated that he had ambitions of becoming a mix of the legendary actors Jackie Chan (action), Kamal Haasan (acting), Rajinikanth (style) and Prabhu Deva (dance) but could never realize his dreams.

Manikandan comes across as a person who has handled his failures admirably with help from his spirituality even though he has had no earnings for several years. He admits that he lacked maturity when he found stardom through 'Boys' and that's how he couldn't further his career.

The easy-going star has revealed that the blockbuster hit films that he missed are 'Kadhal', 'Soodhu Kavvum' and 'Thenmerkku Paruvakaatru'. He however is glad that he missed the last-mentioned since that's the one that gave a break to Vijay Sethupathi whom he considers a great actor. There is much more in the two videos below that will completely change your perception of Manikandan whom you missed all these years.
