Breaking ! Vijay Sethupathi's 'Puriyatha Puthir' banned by the court

The long pending release of Puriyatha Puthir` seemed a reality as advance bookings opened for the film a couple of days back and it was all set to open tomorrow the 1st of September. But alas, there is bad news for Vijay Sethupathi fans as the court has banned the film`s release due to a pending salary for FEFSI members to the tune of 23 lakhs.

Puriyatha Puthi` is a romantic thriller directed by Ranjit Jeyakodi has Vijay Sethupathi and Gayathree as the lead pair while Ramesh Tilak, Arjunan and Sonia Deepthi are also in the cast. It remains to be seen if the producers JSK Films manage to resolve the issue overnight and get the film through to theaters.
