Brother follows in RP's footsteps

RP Patnaik's brother Gautham Patnaik's directorial debut Keratam is all set to hit the marquee soon. Like his brother who debuted with (the very forgettable) Andamaina Manasulo and fizzled out after Broker, Gautham is directing a message-oriented film. The film is a remake of the Kannada film Josh. It stars Siddharth Rajkumar (cousin of Prabhas) in the lead.

The film's subject goes something like this. The protagonist falls in love quite early (even by the standards of 2011) in 10th standard and flunks badly. Keratam tracks his destruction after he falls in love and the loss he suffers in life. Almost everyone, his friends and family abandon him and he is left a destitute.

Ultimately, the film holds out the message that it is not wise to neglect studies and spoil the career for the sake of love.

The makers promise that the climax will be heart-touching and thought-provoking.

Will Dookudu be different?

Dhee, followed by Ready and Namo Venkatesa, were almost similar, and the latter two were liked mainly because they had comedy, not for any novelty.

True to his style, actor-producer Prakash Raj is all set to try something challenging. He will direct a bi-lingual film (in Telugu and Tamil), which will be produced by RR Movie Makers. Details of cast and subject have not been revealed as yet.

It was like directing my brother: Sreenu Vaitla

Thanks to the long time for which Dookudu was shot, it helped Mahesh Babu and Sreenu Vaitla bond better. From what Vaitla spoke of the space he shared with the hero, it can be concluded that the both have become best pals.
