Buzz: Mahesh Babu to do a Prabhas in a mythological

Whatever Prabhas does becomes national news. And since he is playing Lord Rama in 'Adipurush', everyone is excited about his role. And, amid this excitement, a rumour has gone out that Mahesh Babu, too, might play Lord Rama in a prestigious project. Except that the project itself is not officially alive.
To get to the point, producer Madhu Matena is said to have made moves to get the 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' actor play Rama in a multi-billion pan-India movie based on the Ramayana. So far, only a section of Bollywood media has made the claim.
Yet another fantastical claim is that Deepika Padukone will be playing Sita and Hrithik Roshan is Ravana in the alleged project!
All this sounds like the casting coup of the decade.
It's unlikely that anybody would be wanting to make a film based on the Epic when 'Adipurush' is already a reality. The Prabhas-Om Raut film will release in August 2022. The audience will surely not be overly excited about another Ramayana film. Given this, who will invest hundreds of crores on such a film?
