The sleeper hit Rajathandhiram' gained the appreciation of all sections of the audience who praised the way the director Amid had handled the taut screenplay as well as the acting of Veera, Regina Cassandra,Pattiyal Shekar and Darbuka Siva.
Director AG Amid was pleasantly shocked when he received a call from Captain Vijayakanth who personally congratulated the debutante director after watching the film. It is to be noted that Vijayakanth introduced the most number of new directors to tamil cinema and it is evident that he still continues encouraging new talents.
