A case has been filed against Tollywood senior hero Venu Thottempudi. The management of Ritwik Projects lodged a complaint against Kavuri Bhaskar Rao, Venu Thottempudi, and others at the Banjara Hills Police Station. They are reportedly managers of Progressive Constructions. While specific details about the case have yet to be disclosed, it appears that Venu, who has been away from the film industry for several years, ventured into the construction business, leading to the current legal issues. The original plaintiff and the reasons behind the complaint remain unknown at this time.

Venu Thottempudi gained fame as a comedy hero, particularly with his role in the film "Swayamvaram" (1999). Known for his unique comedic style, he managed to entertain audiences in various commercial films. Despite the influx of new heroes in the industry and a series of unsuccessful films, Venu initially established himself as a promising actor.

During the peak of his career, Venu delivered several back-to-back hits, earning the reputation of a "minimum guarantee" hero in Tollywood. Realizing that comedy was his forte, he starred in numerous multi-starrer films, which performed well at the box office. At one point, Venu was a busy actor, frequently appearing in two or three films a year. However, as his films began to underperform and even his comedic talent could not salvage them, he gradually stepped away from the limelight.

After nearly nine years, Venu made a comeback with a negative role in the movie "Rama Rao On Duty," starring Ravi Teja. Although his return was met with enthusiasm from fans, the film failed to impress audiences, and his comeback did not gain much recognition. Subsequently, Venu shifted his focus to the OTT (Over-The-Top) platform, a burgeoning sector in the entertainment industry. Last year, he appeared in the web series "Athithi," released on Disney Plus Hotstar, and is reportedly working on several other OTT projects.

Venu Thottempudi's transition from films to construction and then to the OTT space showcases his adaptability and determination to stay relevant in the entertainment industry, despite facing significant challenges.
