CCTV captures Bapatla woman escaping kidnapping

A woman narrowly escaped kidnapping by two unidentified men in Guntur district's Bapatla earlier on Monday. The victim was doing 'Rangoli' outside her home when a guy wearing a muffler and sweater came walking to her and asked her to come along with her. When she refused, he forcibly dragged her away.

The victim's sister, who was very much there, screamed for help. The neighbours got alerted and came running from homes. They caught hold of the perpetrators, bashed them up and surrendered them to the police. Since the culprit couldn't walk much distance, he could be easily caught hold.

The incident has shocked the town. The family of the girl is in a state of shock.
