'180' that is the directorial debut of Jayendra is a breezy romantic film that Tamil cinema witnessed this season. The film stars Siddharth, Priya Anand and Nithya Menen in the lead roles and opened up to mix reviews in both Tamil and Telugu.

While the camera angles, locales, music, performance has been widely appreciated by all, the film lagged behind as it boasts off an age old script. But the former seems to have overweighed the script, as Kollywood celebs are all praise for the film.

Speaking on '180', ace director, Mani Ratnam said, 180 is a wholesome film. Entertaining for the first part and emotional later. The visuals and music are brilliant and the performances are good.

Ilayathalapathy Vijay, who is currently busy with 'Velayudham' and 'Nanban' said, Siddharth has always played the role of a lover boy perfectly. In this film, he has once again proven his command over this genre and has also combined it with the maturity required to play such a sophisticated character. This is a movie that I’m sure will be enjoyed by all age groups.

Whereas, Suhasini Maniratnam has expressed that it is a welcome change to see educated, well-spoken, qualified people play protagonists as against thieves! She added, Hench men, hookers and way wards whom we have been seeing as heroes in our Tamil films... We wonder who she is referring to...

Looks like celebs are all praise for ‘180’ by Jayendra, a novice attempt in terms of cinematography indeed…
