Chappakurisu
In many a proverbs , it has been said that 'Life is just like the sides of a coin.In most areas, it is defined as just like 'in heads or tails'. In different parts of Kerala, it is mentioned to be 'Thalayaum Vaaum' or Raja Kozhy'. But in areas surrounding the metro of Kochy, heads or tails takes the expression 'Chappa Kurissu'.Exactly like its title, Cameraman turned director Samir Thahir's debut film will tell the life of two youngsters living in Kochy, who are living their life in situations that hold no resemblances just like heads or tails.
One of the protagonist of the movie is Arjun, who is running a successful business himself, While Ansari is a sweeper in a super market.Due to their different living situations, their aspirations and thinking lines are very different.The movie tells the situations that follows when they meet in a very embarrassing situation.Shanu plays Arjun while Vineeth Sreenivasan is Ansari.The movie will also feature three heroines, played by Roma, Ramya Nambeeshan and Nivedhitha.
Samir Thahir who surprised everyone with his different cinematography of the movie 'Big B' and 'Daddy Cool' is also scripting 'Chappa Kurisu', with support from R Unni.The young producer of the hit movie of the year 'Traffic' is the producer of this experimental movie, which is expected to be an outright hit with the youth,narrated in a fresh style and presented in the league of current Bollywood films.
'Chappa kurissu' is cinematographed by Jomon T John, while Rex Vijayan handles the music section.
Central pictures will present the movie to theatres, this month.
