Legendary Malayalam actor Mohanlal delivered a blockbuster in the form of Lucifer in 2019. Another star hero Prithviraj Sukumaran was the director for it. Now, they have joined forces once again for Lucifer's much-anticipated sequel, L2E: Empuraan. Produced by Lyca Productions and Aashirwad Cinemas, L2E: Empuraan is slated for a worldwide release on March 27. The movie's promotions were kickstarted recently with the teaser release.

Now, the makers started introducing characters. The first character to be introduced of Xavier, which is played by noted Malayalam actor Jaise Jose. This is the character 36 of the film and the makers are expected to release one character every day from now on. Jaise Jose acted in Lucifer as well and he will be reprising the same role in the sequel.

Touted to be a political action thriller, L2E: Empuraan begins exactly where the first part ended. This part will explore the gangster side of Mohanlal's character Steven Nedumpally aka Khureshi Abraam.

The film features Prithviraj Sukumaran, Indrajith Sukumaran, Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas and Sai Kumar in key roles.
