High court bans Oviya's next movie!

Actress Oviya was last seen on screen in the controversial movie 90 ML, which faced a lot of issues with women's associations even demanding a ban besides arrest of Oviya and the team of the movie, and now, her next movie is also facing a ban by the High court.

Oviya will be seen next in the sequel to her 2010 sleeper hit movie Kalavani, Kalavani 2 directed b y Sarkunam and costarring Vemal, and the movie's release has now been stayed by Chennai High court. Following a case filed by Kumaran of Sri Dhanalakshmi films to stop the release of Kalavani 2, the stay has been imposed.

Speaking on the stay imposed by the Chennai high court, director Sarkunam said that his movie does not have any connection with Sri Dhanalakshmi films, and that the company has did this because of their issues with the hero Vemal, and said that he hopes the issue will be resolved and the movie will be out soon. Kalavani 2 also stars Saranya Ponvannan, Ilavarasu and Ganja Karuppu, and the movie was planned to be released on May 3.
